These are some of my views on this digital marketing malarkey ... there's more on: AlanCharlesworth.com

Over the years – as you can see – I’ve added to this blog only sporadically. I decided to leave all the old posts ‘live’ as I think they can still be useful in helping folk understand digital marketing.

Oh ... and I write all of these entries myself. There's no AI used on this blog.

Enjoy 😊

hello ... is there anybody there?

Campaign is an offline trade magazine which, according to its bio on X, is ‘the world’s leading business media brand for the advertising, marketing & media communities’. It also has an online presence, although the links on its X posts go to that site, buff.ly shortened URLs are used rather than full URLs of the linked-to pages (not good practice, in my opinion).

But my main reason for featuring it here is that there is no (and I mean, none. Zero.) engagement on there X posts. Maybe folk are clicking on the links without clicking on ‘like’, but that seems odd.

OK, so it doesn’t take much effort to create these posts, but it does seem to be a waste of what ever that effort is.

Unless there’s some kind of SEO tactic, but if there is, it’s not clear to me.
